Airbus Supplier Summit

The Ohio Edison Technology Centers, Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI), GE Aviation, RTI, and Airbus Americas invite you to join U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown and Airbus Americas' Chairman Allan McArtor for Ohio's third Airbus Supplier Summit on November 15, 2010.

At this event, Ohio suppliers will learn more about opportunities to work within the Airbus Americas supply chain. Airbus is a leading aircraft manufacturer whose customer focus, commercial know-how, technological leadership, and manufacturing efficiency have led to its continued success in the aerospace industry. With an estimated $4 billion in direct Airbus procurement last year, Ohio ranks first in Airbus spending in the U.S. and fifth in the number of Airbus aircraft-related suppliers in the country.

Senator Sherrod Brown and Mr. Allan McArtor will explain the importance of the
relationship between Airbus and Ohio. They will also discuss the opportunity to capitalize on existing and emerging Ohio aviation manufacturing capabilities to grow Ohio's value in the Airbus supply chain.

Airbus procurement executives, together with procurement representatives from Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, will be available to explain how to contract with Airbus and its subcontractors. Small and mid-sized aerospace suppliers as well as businesses interested in joining the aerospace industry will have an opportunity to learn about the requirements and current needs of the industry, meet supply chain executives, and sign up for one-on-one meetings with procurement managers. The event focus will be on suppliers with qualified aircraft-related products in five key procurement areas: structures and materials, systems, propulsion, cabin, and new technologies.
