The Columbus Chapter of ALPFA is hosting a moderated panel discussion on the uses of social media for firms of all sizes. We will discuss a variety of topics revolving around how companies use social media, the advantages and disadvantages of doing so and its future in light of technological progress.

Amy Marshall, Chief Results Officer, Webbed Marketing Amy is co-owner of Webbed Marketing, an
Internet Marketing agency in Columbus, Ohio delivering search engine optimization, paid search and social media services for a range of clients. Amy has more than 15 years of marketing and sales experience. Before joining Webbed Marketing, she held positions at successful international software companies such as Sterling Commerce and Quest Software, focusing on product marketing and global channel development. She has led international marketing campaigns for flagship products and her work has been recognized by the media and the industry. During her tenure with Quest, her product line was recognized by TechEd in 2007 winning the “Best of Award for the SharePoint Category.” Her progressive Internet marketing strategies focus on using communities and Web 2.0 technologies to help businesses grow. She holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business and Japanese.
Bill Balderaz, Founder of Webbed Marketing Bill has grown the company from a one-man consultancy
to one of the largest and fastest growing independent interactive marketing agencies in the Midwest. Prior to launching Webbed Marketing, Bill accumulated more than 10 years of traditional and online marketing experience, focusing on advertising, public relations and media experience. Bill has worked with organizations across the country, to plan, execute and measure Internet marketing programs. He began working in the search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertising and social media world in 1998, prior to the launch of Google. He has spoken on Internet marketing topics at more than 100 conferences and events including those sponsored by the Public Relations Society of America, the American Marketing Association and Search Engine Strategies. Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Bowling Green State University, an MBA from Franklin University and is an ordained minister. He runs the BuzzSaw Word of Mouth Marketing blog at http://buzz.ducttapemarketing.com and is the creator of the Webbed-O-Meter, which is the first publicly available tool that measures online word-of-mouth and social media. Recently he was awarded the, “Currier Young Professional Award” from Bowling Green State University and the Columbus Business Leader of the Year from the Columbus Chamber of Commerce.
Bryan Huber, Chief Interactive Officer, Paul Werth Associates Bryan Huber is a classically trained
graphic designer with nearly 20 years' experience in boutique and large agencies. Embracing the Web after enjoying success in brand development and print design has been an energizing factor in his career since building his first corporate website in 1996.
Since founding huber+co. in 2003 and its acquisition by Paul Werth Associates in 2010, Mr. Huber has built an incredible team that works with enterprise-level and main street businesses as well as educational, health-care and not-for-profit organizations to define and deliver their online strategies. His clients have included Nationwide Insurance, JPMorgan Asset Management, Cardinal Orthopedic Institute, the Columbus Marathon, Nationwide Realty Investors, The Ohio State University Medical Center/the James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute and WOSU Television.

This fully automated race marketing engine made its debut at the 2009 Columbus Marathon. It starts conversations on the Social Web and creates online visibility for races by allowing participants to automatically publish updates to their Twitter, Facebook and other social media accounts during the race.
Angie Palmer, Founder of Skye Public Relations Angie Palmer is the founder and owner of Skye Public
Relations, a company that provides online public relations services to small businesses, non-profit organizations and government agencies. The business focuses on using the power of text, images, podcasts and videos to communicate and interact with the target markets in an online environment. Angie also facilitates and teaches online Internet marketing and social media classes at Franklin University. Having studied and worked with small businesses and multinational corporations in Hong Kong, China, Japan, Singapore, Australia and the United States, Angie has a unique blend of knowledge and skills that helped her gain a good following on the social networking sites she owns and manages for her clients. When asked how powerful she thinks social media can be, she said she had not spent a single dime on advertising. All the clients found Skye Public Relations through organic search, social networking sites and positive word-of-mouth.
Prior to building her own business in Ohio, Angie had successfully worked as a freelance writer, reporter and producer for a local TV station and portal website in New Mexico producing various blog posts, newspaper articles and news stories. Her writing career continues in Ohio with articles published in local and international publications. Though Angie just moved to Ohio two years ago, she has been a very active member in the community working and volunteering with different organizations. Her professional achievement and community involvement have been recognized by Business First and she was named as one of the Forty Under 40 Award honorees this year.
Angie holds a Diploma in Tourism Management from Singapore, Bachelor of Commerce from Australia, Master of Science in Management from the United States and is currently at the dissertation stage of her PhD in Organizational Psychology.
