AltaSim Technologies, LLC to co-sponsor the COMSOL Conference 2009 in Boston, MA, October 8-10

June 26, 2009

Columbus, OH (June 26, 2009): The fifth COMSOL Conference will be held in Boston from October 8-10. This is the first in a series of nine COMSOL Conferences to be held around the world, and the only one offered in the USA. Engineers from a broad spectrum of industries will unveil how application of state-of-the-art multiphysics analysis and simulation can help engineers and scientists develop new and innovative technologies and products.

The program includes user presentations, hands-on mini-courses, and an exhibition, which promotes one-on-one networking between engineers from industry, research organizations and academic institutions. Hands-on mini-courses offer step by step instruction in using COMSOL Multiphysics® in the following areas:

• Acoustics and Vibration
• Electrochemical Engineering
• Porous Media Flow
• Heat Transfer in Solids and Fluids
• Introduction to COMSOL Multiphysics
• Chemical Engineering
• RF and Microwaves
• Micro fluidics
• Optimization
• MEMS and Piezoelectric Simulations

In addition, tutorial sessions allow users to share knowledge in applications and tools such as AC/DC and Magnetics Modeling, CAD Import and Parameterized Geometry, COMSOL Multiphysics® with MATLAB®, COMSOL V4 GUI, Electromagnetic Bioheating, Equation Based Modeling. Fluid Flow, Fluid-Structure Interactions, Nonlinear Structural Analysis with Contact, Parallel Processing and Cluster Solutions, and Photonics and Plasmonics.

As Certified COMSOL Consultants, AltaSim Technologies is a provider of COMSOL Multiphysics® software combined with problem solving, development of COMSOL Multiphysics® for specific applications, training and analysis set up.
