Columbus, Ohio – September 21, 2009 –Forum develops blueprint to enhance and accelerate manufacturing design, prototyping, and product-to-market processes. Drs. Jeff Crompton and Kyle Koppenhoefer, Principals of AltaSim Technologies, participated in a Thought Leaders Forum on High Performance Super Computing (HPC) for American Manufactures, held by The Manufacturing Institute. The by-invitation only forum took place at the National Association of Manufacturers headquarters in Washington D.C. on September 16, 2009. Invited participants included representatives from manufacturing companies, HPC suppliers, and university and government experts, including several representatives from the Ohio Supercomputing Center (OSC).
Dr. Crompton explained AltaSim Technologies’ primary role in the forum: “To share our experience applying advanced modeling and simulation to solve real world manufacturing and product design problems. Many of these problems are so complex that they require the use of supercomputing resources, we have worked with OSC to demonstrate the benefits of supercomputing based modeling and simulation to Central Ohio companies and want to see our experience bring benefit to other companies around the nation.” Through this forum awareness of manufactures across the country was raised to the economic value of modeling and simulation with HPC and the increased level of competitive prowess that can result. Long recognized as a leader in the development and application of innovative engineering technology in a wide range of industries,
AltaSim Technologies leverages its core competency in advanced computational and multi-physics analysis to help its customers develop new products, processes and technology. For more information on AltaSim Technologies visit our web site
