POSITION SUMMARY: FTE
The Application Support Engineer is a core member of the Corporate Applications team and will focus on messaging and collaborative technologies. This role is to help ensure the applications and technologies that enable the organization to communicate and collaborate continue to add value to the business. Activities will range from resolving incidents escalated from the IT Service Desk, daily operational and maintenance tasks, and executing service requests to assisting in the planning and execution of refresh projects and system enhancements.

- Exchange Server
- BlackBerry Enterprise Server
- E-Faxing
- Office Communications Server
Under general supervision, performs activities required for the operation, maintenance, and control of complex systems. Makes necessary configuration changes on existing systems to enhance functionality in alignment with organizational needs. Assists in planning, scheduling, and implementation of activities.
Initiative: Competent to work on defined tasks and problems with some instruction and guidance.
Planning: Able to plan daily activities based upon priorities provided by management. Able to handle competing priorities during situations when multiple problems exist.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs complex modifications, enhancements, or upgrades to existing systems through analysis, planning, design, scheduling, testing and coordination.
- Performs operational and maintenance activities to ensure the reliability, availability and recoverability of systems.
- Conducts routine audits to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Provides technical and functional support of incidents and service requests from inception through resolution
- Develops and maintains documentation library.
