Healthcare reform is right around the corner and will affect individuals and businesses alike. While there are other options available, most companies who provide employee benefits use annual price shopping as their primary means to identify the most affordable option.
Although major Medical helps with doctor and hospital expenses, there is often a gap left for expenses not covered by traditional health insurance. Unfortunately, bills don’t stop when you are hurt or sick, leaving individuals to ask where am I going to get the needed money?
Voluntary benefits or personal insurance provides for daily living and unexpected personal expenses and provides another option for potential cost savings for employers. These insurance options also help attract and retain employees without breaking the bank.
As major medical costs rise and plans cover less voluntary benefits is the best way to be proactive rather than reactive to market changes by preparing for the unexpected. Join Aflac for a benefits/HR workshop that will include information on voluntary benefits, healthcare reform, and an open forum for Q&A. Current news, how healthcare is currently affecting businesses/individuals, and offering solutions to many of these issues we will be addressed.
