A BS in Information Technology or related field is preferred.

The candidate must possess 10-15 years of IT experience with 5-10 years in a management roll with a minimum of 7 years in a retail environment. STRONG AS 400 RPG II/IV/ILE is a MUST, PkMS experience is a plus.

JEGS Automotive, Inc., a leader in the mail order and retail industry based in Central Ohio is currently searching for an experienced IT Manager with expertise in AS400 to manage the overall strategic design, infrastructure operations and related disciplines.

The AS400 Manager is a proficient level and is responsible for the design and support of infrastructure technology.  Includes all aspects of system monitoring, system administration, system backups, fine tuning, system controls and documentation.  May install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot any issues relating to infrastructure technologies.

Proven Success in:

• Managing a variety of information systems activities within a large multi-channel retail environment
• Managing the enterprise wide retail applications, supporting call centers, retail POS, E-commerce (IBM Websphere) and back office functions
• Planning, implementation and testing for disaster recovery and business continuity

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides technical design and support for designated infrastructure technologies
• Acts as a liaison to IT and other departments to gather requirements for technology solutions
• Manages key vendors in troubleshooting situations
• Negotiates pricing, terms and conditions and technical requirements with vendors
• Responsible for 24/7 support for technology team
• Present ideas and technical solutions effectively to senior management
