Position Description
Position Summary:
Technical individual who must adhere to and promote our core values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team player. Ensure the proper day-to-day operation of technology applications and equipment. Provide desk-side assistance in resolving technology support issues. Perform installations, repairs, upgrades, backups, and other maintenance tasks. Also handles phone and email assistance as well.
Position Responsibilities:
-Assist with setup and support of both internal and/or external networks
-Maintains systems, applications, security and network configurations
-Troubleshoots network performance issues
-Recommends upgrades, patches and new applications and equipment
-Provides technical support and guidance to users on computer/network related issues
-An understanding of best practices, including industry standard concepts and procedures
-Maintain an adequate level of knowledge on operating systems and application software used at NCP to provide a high level of support
-Add and maintain users on the network, assign application access, ensure security (in accordance with NCP policy) and maintain configurations
-Assist in gathering bid prices on equipment and supplies as needed
-Monitor licenses usage to ensure license compliance
-Work under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment
-Consult with senior peers to learn through experience
-Other job related duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
-Basic skills with moderate level of proficiency
-Excellent problem solving skills
-Able to efficiently multi-task
-Full functional ability to use computer and computer related equipment
-Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
-Must be capable of bending, lifting and working in tight spaces for extended periods of time
-Must be willing and able to travel a minimum of 1 week per year
-Must have and maintain valid Driver License, reliable transportation and full coverage auto insurance
-Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Minimum Desired Competencies:
-Bachelors in CIS or MIS or equivalent experience in related field
-Moderate knowledge of Microsoft applications
-Functional knowledge of hardware, software and networks
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
