Automotive Innovators and Entrepreneurs Invited to Participate in Inaugural AutoVenture Forum

July 2, 2010

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has announced plans for the inaugural AutoVenture Forum, a showcase designed for entrepreneurial ventures to connect with the automotive industry.  The meeting, scheduled for September 22 in Novi, MI, will be structured so that young companies can make their pitch to panels of automotive leaders from R&D, Innovation, M&A and other business units.

Companies must be invited to participate based on criteria including deal readiness, novelty and the ability to open up new markets or integrate new technologies into the automotive industries.  In particular, AutoVenture is looking for emerging technologies in the areas of:

  • Vehicle Connectivity (V2X)
  • Vehicle to Grid (V2G)
  • Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2V)
  • Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V)
  • Human Vehicle Interface (HVI)

For consideration, companies should notify ASME immediately of their intent to apply, with final applications due Friday July 16.

The AutoVenture Forum is an invitation-only event for presenting companies as well as automotive industry representatives and qualified investors.  Those wishing to attend the event should specify their interest by emailing AutoVenture@asme.org
