The TechColumbus Innovation Summit 2010, presented by Sterling Commerce, is set for May 27, 2010. The conference is specifically targeted at CEOs, and senior strategy, technology and marketing executives. This is the second year for this one-day conference which is aimed at helping senior level executives tap into a number of innovative strategies and thought processes that can transform their organizations.
Daniel Pink, author of several bestselling books including his latest, Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us, is this year’s keynote speaker. In Drive, Pink uses 50 years of behavioral science to overturn conventional wisdom about human motivation and to offer a more effective path to high performance. During the TechColumbus Innovation Summit 2010, Pink will help participants explore how to tap creativity of individuals both inside and outside their organizations for peak performance.
E. Gordon Gee, president of The Ohio State University will provide the welcome address while Bob Irwin, president and CEO of Sterling Commerce will serve as featured corporate speaker. The summit will also feature breakout sessions featuring panel discussions by business and industry leaders, entrepreneurs, thought leaders from the Fisher College of Business and others.
This year's theme, "Making Innovation Your Business," is centered on the need to make, and the ways to make, innovation essential to the basic “fabric” of your organization. Speakers and working sessions will offer unique insights and methodologies for creating an environment and the corresponding systems that tap the creativity and ingenuity of people within and beyond the organization. Open innovation techniques and the latest thinking in areas of collaborative methods will be covered. Leadership and talent strategies that spawn innovative thinking and result in higher performance will also be a major focus.
