Position Responsibilities

Utilizes various tools and techniques to analyze client business operations, identify problems and/or opportunities, and define solution characteristics. Serves as conduit between customer business units, software development teams and project support teams through which requirements flow.

Understands client organization's direction, structure, and requirements as related to innovation maturity.

Elicits project requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, task and workflow analysis, use cases, etc.

Critically evaluates information gathered and understands business process management to translate customer business needs into specific project requirements.

Determines system design specifications and tests for both technical and business compatibility.

Prepares accurate and detailed requirement specifications documents, business process maps, use cases, transition plans and requirements traceability matrix.

Prepares a test plan for validating the system design.

Defines test conditions and facilitates system design testing using test scripts and/or test scenarios.

Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions.

Collaborates with subject matter experts, market owners, product owners and developers and to translate customer business needs into software application requirements.

Writes acceptance criteria for software enhancements.

Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.

Keeps knowledge up to date with technical sector developments in the industry.
Position Requirements

Able to lift 50lbs
-
Extensive travel (up 80% of the time) locally, regionally, nationally or even internationally to meet with customers.

Must have a valid drivers license with 2 or less points on the drivers license.

Must have reliable transportation Minimum Competencies
-
1-3 years experience in business analysis, system analysis and/or requirements engineering, preferably in document imaging or electronic document/content management
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited institution or minimum 3 years relevant experience

Business analysis certification from International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) a plus

Experience in human services industry a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts

Ability to analyze and document complex business processes

Proficiency with business process mapping tools (i.e. Microsoft Visio) and techniques (i.e. flow charts, swim lane diagrams, etc.)

Good personal computer skills; proficient with MS Office applications

Strong technical skills coupled with business intelligence
