Four-year college degree, or equivalent work experience

3 years minimum experience developing requirements for software or IT projects Experience defining business requirements and translating them into specific software requirements Experience creating process flowcharts and software wireframes using Microsoft Visio or similar tools Possesses strong business intelligence and a full understanding of the needs of the customer Excellent written and verbal communication skills Fluency with Microsoft Office suite of products Strong preference would be given to candidates with the following skills: Experience working with agile development methodologies Experience with e-commerce software Familiarity with web software development, especially in Microsoft .NET shop Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server

The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements related to one or more of our software products. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting with multiple sources within the organization to elicit requirements for upcoming software projects and enhancements. The BA works closely with the development team in developing functional requirements. The BA is involved throughout the project lifecycle, validating that software in development fulfills all of the stated business requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

Functions as an interface between various technology teams and business units.

Conducts meetings and design sessions for requirements gathering.

Creates requirements and specification documents according to standards set by the team, including but not limited to use cases, user stories, value stories, wire frames, and others.

Meets with developers and development leads to validate requirements as well as proposed technical solutions.

Ensures that recommended solutions are both commercially viable and competitive, and that they align with stated project goals and corporate vision.

Conducts regular meetings to review software in development.

Quality validation of code produced by developers.

Present to all levels of management as needed on business issues.

Other duties as assigned.
