This presentation will provide a general understanding of desktop virtualization and the different manners in which it is delivered to the end users. We will then look at Microsoft’s virtual desktop solutions and how Microsoft licenses each of the technologies. We will finally run through a few common virtual desktop licensing scenarios for the Microsoft solutions.

Speaker Details:
Stephen Covert presently serves as the Manager of Vendor Services for Highlights for Children with over 30 years of experience in Information Technology. During this time he has held numerous technical and management positions, the last 8 years have been focused on vendor relations, contract negotiations, and asset management. In each of these areas he has been charged with implementing processes, procedures, and policies which support corporate initiatives. He has also been given the task of keeping executives informed of software licensing rules and trends in order to ensure the economical purchasing and use of software assets. He obtained his baccalaureate from The Ohio State University and his MBA from Capital University.
