The Business Development / Marketing shall possess a minimum of three to five years of experience in AV Sales or related field OR a two or four-year degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in business, theater, marketing or communications. The position requires knowledge of sales, customer relations, contractor issues, labor relations, project management, marketing, communications, and job-cost skills.

PRIMARY ROLE
The Associate will lead the development of profitable new business while maintaining key Company relationships. The Associate is responsible for developing new accounts, new account leads, department/Company growth and marketing the rental of: audio, video, lighting, scenic design/fabrication, creative services and fabrication to new customers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for locating new opportunities for RP, by developing, securing, visiting new and existing customer event sales.
- Associate will manage and maintain a weekly prospecting, weekly call sheet list and submit to VP of RP on a regular basis (weekly, bi-monthly, monthly).
- Lead the process for written proposals, in response to customer’s Request For Proposals (RFP), and coordinate all information from the internal resources and arrange the formal responses to customer.
- Associate will have formal follow-up, post-event, with event customers.
- Provide all sales and job “Lead” information to VP of RP in a timely, accurate manner.
- Partner with Creative Services, Audio/Video/Lighting/Fabrication Operation Managers, Rental Production Director for RFP regarding pricing and status of bid process.
- Maintain existing customer relationships and respond in a timely and professional manner to all customers.
- Track and provide accurate sales information to management upon request.
- Bill and collect from customers in a timely and accurate manner, and maintain accurate billing records or reports.
- Direct contact with people of all levels both internally and external and work with customer’s procurement process.
- Respond to customer needs and follow through on all aspects of request, both written and verbal.
- Develop and present to various groups within the customer’s organization when needed.
- Act as technical representative to the customer, during the initial contact.
- Attend local, regional networking events, trade shows, chamber of commerce events, both educational and customer oriented.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of services offered within RP and Company.
- Achieve sales goals and objectives as it relates to this position.
- Develop a comprehensive written Marketing plan to grow brand loyalty for the Company.
- Plan and manage marketing initiatives in conjunction with Creative Services.
- Collaborate with Community event personal to develop promotional programs for the Company.
- Meet all marketing project deadlines.
- Manage all aspects of attending trade shows including communication tracking and prospective client follow-up.
- Host targeted client luncheon-events to introduce and familiarize target group with the Company.
