Keynote speakers for the 2009 TechColumbus CIOhio conference have been announced and include Gary Hamel, author, speaker and one of the world’s leading experts on business strategy. Steve Steinour, chairman, president and CEO of Huntington Bancshares Inc. and The Huntington National Bank will share his observations about the state of the financial industry and the critical role of technology. And Gerry McNamara, managing partner of executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles, will speak to the changing role of the CIO and the expectations of businesses and their CEOs.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Facing Challenge ~ Emerging Stronger Tomorrow” and will be held November 6, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Columbus. The program brings together renowned business strategists and thought leaders to discuss the preparations required to help businesses emerge stronger as the economy begins its recovery.
Early bird registration for the conference is now open. The event, which is hosted by TechColumbus and sponsored by HP Procurve Netowrking, is an invitation-only conference for CIO, senior IT and business executives that brings together more than 300 global business and information technology leaders for a thought provoking one-day conference.
This marks the eighth year for CIOhio, a conference whose attendance and relevance to the advancement of business in a global economy grows each year. It should be noted that CIOhio is a peer-to-peer networking event for CIOs, senior IT and business executives. Sponsorship opportunities are available but the event is closed to vendors.
