Central Ohio Executive Named to Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders List

March 4, 2011

Ben Blanquera, vice president of information services for Progressive Medical, has been named to the 2011 list of Computerworld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders. The program honors the brightest talent in the IT industry each year. In 2011 the magazine recognized these leaders for continuing to deliver innovative projects and measureable business value despite economic turmoil.

Blanquera cited Progressive Medical’s Agile development transformation as the company’s most innovative current project and says that the program will go from pilot to across-the-board conversion in just nine months. To stay current on best practices Blanquera says he and his staff use multiple threads to identify and evaluate emerging technologies, including peer groups, sharing risk with partners through proof of concepts, and attending multiple trade and industry shows.

Blanquera, and the other 99 honorees, will receive their awards at the Premier 100 IT Leaders Conference being held in Palm Desert, California, March 6-8, 2011.
