The City of Dublin’s City Council has approved measures that will help establish a green business incubator at the Dublin Entrepreneurial Center (DEC). The Council voted to offer rent subsidies and other financial support to startups whose primary business involves some sort of sustainability, alternative energy or other green initiative. The Council further approved an incentive for bringing the Ohio Fuel Cell Coalition to the DEC. “Our goal is to provide support to the new green industry and ideas that can be converted to green companies and green jobs,” said Dana McDaniel, deputy city manager and economic development director for the city. “We see it as a next-generation industry that’s fairly high-tech.”
