This week Englefield Oil Company, headquartered in Heath, announced the opening of four new biodiesel fuel pumps in Central Ohio. Three of the pumps are located in Columbus and one in Newark. This is just the latest step in making biodiesel and alternative fuels more accessible to consumers in Ohio.
In addition to these four new Englefield pumps, the Clean Fuels Ohio Web site lists 50 other stations across the state that offer biodiesel fuels. Biodiesel fuels are designated with the letter “B” followed by a number such as B5 or B20. The number represents the percentage of biodiesel used in the blend. The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), an independent consumer protection agency, has established production standards around the rating system for biodiesel, particularly for B5-B20 and B100. Consumers who use these rated fuels can be certain that they are formulated to exacting standards that ensure quality and compatibility with their diesel vehicles.\
The Clean Fuels Ohio Web site also provides a directory of Ethanol pumps (E85) across the state.
To conveniently locate a biodiesel pump while on the road, Clean Fuels Ohio has made a locator service available by cell phone application which can be downloaded here
