- The Client Technologies Technician is physically located within the various Ohio Health facilities that configures and installs software and hardware for IT users desktops, laptops, and computing devices.
- Involved in the installation and rollout of new software packages, upgrades, and new desktop hardware.
- Performs desktop project tasks and activities.
- Maintains desktop software and hardware and mobile software and hardware throughout the Ohio Health facilities.
- Troubleshoots and resolves technical problems for a variety of devices, applications, operating systems, printers, network issues, etc.
- moves, deploys equipment and is responsible for end of lease PC tasks; supports security policies
- and provides customer service by way of incident and problem resolution, communication, and education.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in information sciences or computer electronics (may substitute 3 years relevant/specific experience) CompTIA A+ certification, ITIL Foundation Certification
- Extensive level computer knowledge with PCs, mobile devices, knowledge of software, hardware, MS operating systems, and accessories / peripherals including printers.
- Hands on knowledge and technical skills maintaining network and server components, information security principles and practices, remote connectivity tools.
- Ability to develop macros, templates, and scripts that modify desktop software/hardware environment.
- Extensive knowledge in supporting and providing end user assistance on Office applications including Access, Power Point, Word, Excel, Microsoft Publisher, electronic email such as Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange etc.)
- Prefer experience in a large enterprise health care setting supporting clinical and business applications on the desktop.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Works well in an interrupt driven environment
- Must be comfortable meeting measurable standards of performance
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to translate tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge and understands the value of knowledge management and documentation.
- Must possess strong analytical skills to diagnose and repair complex problems. Candidates must also have experience with the following:
- Active Directory
- Windows XP (prefer Microsoft Certified Desktop Technician)
- Windows Optimization
- Desktop Support
- Level 3 support
- Workstation Imaging
- Wireless Network
- Zenworks (or other software delivery tool)
