Cloud Computing, Security Focus of CentraComm Regional IT Forum

CentraComm, a leading managed IT security and service provider,  will host its fourth regional  IT networking and movie premiere event with a focus on cloud computing and security on Friday, May 7 in Perrysburg, Ohio, near Toledo. The event provides  IT professionals from a wide geographic region, including Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton, Detroit and Grand Rapids, with opportunities for informal networking and professional education.

 The event keynote will be delivered by CentraComm CIO Patrick Foxhoven, co-author of Securing the Cloud, a vendor agnostic cloud security book scheduled for release in early summer 2010 by Syngress.  During the keynote, Patrick will be sharing his perspective on cloud computing from his experience running Internet Service Provider (ISP) companies and global security operations, insights from the book, as well as general observations of the current security landscape. Foxhoven co-authored Securing the Cloud with Graham Speake, Digital Security Consultant at BP Oil.

CentraComm’s networking event will be held Friday, May 7 at Showcase Cinema Levis Commons at Levis Commons Shopping Center in Perrysburg, Ohio. Following the networking and keynote session, attendees are invited to attend a private screening of the blockbuster movie, Iron Man 2 on the opening day release.  CentraComm has reserved an exclusive viewing for invited guests, as well as snacks and refreshments.
