Columbus Ranked One of the Top 20 Cities for Women in Business

Forbes recently published its first list of the Top 20 Cities for Women in Business. Not surprisingly New York and San Francisco topped the list – but among the stand out cities for women was also Columbus.

To create the list, Forbes started with its list of Best Places for Businesses and Careers (on which Columbus was also ranked) and then took into consideration which cities have seen the largest number of female-led firms, where are the most SBA-backed loans going to women and where are women turning those loans into million-dollar profits?

The story credits Columbus with an uptick in women-led ventures and further cites TechColumbus’ new Women in Technology and Science initiative as a factor for encouraging more women to pursue starting their own business.
