For the second year, The Ohio State University will host a series of iD Tech Camps this summer focused on developing high tech skills in kids and teens. The camps, a combination of day camps and overnights, will offer cutting edge courses ranging from video game design to Flash animation, video editing, programming and more. Campers will hone these skills through a number of practical applications such as the programming of a robot, the making of a special effects movie and other challenging and fun projects.
The classes average six students per adult instructor to allow for one-on-one, customized instruction opportunities. On average, students will spend 3 hours on the computer in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon with frequent breaks and “tech-reation” activities – i.e. soccer, Firsbee, computer gaming tournaments and more. iD Tech’s mission is to encourage empowerment and personal expression through technology by blending traditional summer camp activities with forward thinking technology.
