Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 6+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.

Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience and 6+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation. Preference will be given to candidates with the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations. Candidate must be detail oriented and able to handle many tasks simultaneously.

Summary: This position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide all assistance needed for the annual audit
• Ensure that payables are paid in a timely manner
• Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
• Implement cost systems.
• Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable
• Provide for a system of management cost and “dashboard” reports
• Manage Treasury functions
• Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
• Issue timely and complete financial statements
• Maintain the general ledger
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
• Maintain the chart of accounts
• Manage outsourced functions
• Manage the accounting staff
• Manage the production of the annual budget
• Process payroll in a timely manner
• Provide financial analyses as needed
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Constructively interface with managers of operations and logistics functions
• Constructively interface with managers of sales functions
