Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, building and supporting robust data services in support of Highly Scalable Web Architectures. The Data Architect needs to have an end-to-end vision, and see how a logical design will translate into one or more physical data systems, and how the data will flow through the successive stages involved in support the Web architecture. He (or she) will need to be able to address challenge of designing and developing new systems, as well as being able to maintain and support existing systems. Will need to understand the importance of and be experienced in using common techniques for improving data quality by creating appropriate data cleansing and data standardization systems and processes.

• A technology or related BS degree
• At least 10 years of relevant experience
• The ability to translate Business Requirements into technical specifications
• The ability to analyze data and to support deriving maximum business value from raw data sources
• The ability to analyze and understand data related business challenges and opportunities and recommend the appropriate solution to solve the problem
• Experienced in the range Data Architecture skills including data modeling, data integration and database design • Experienced with a wide range of data ETL techniques, tools and processes
• Understand and have experience with Data Warehousing techniques
• Working knowledge of common company and industry related standards such as the SIC and NAICS industry classification systems
• Experience with company data matching tools and techniques is a plus
• Experience working in a Unix system environment
• Experience with Perl, Java and other programming languages
• Experience with RDMS systems including Oracle (10G/11G), PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Familiar with Google BigTable modeled OpenSource data solutions such as Hadoop/Hbase and Cassandra
• Familiar with open source search platforms like the Solr/Lucene family

This newly created position will work as a Team lead with 2 ETL Developers Our client is interested in creative, programmatically- driven, results - oriented, analytical mind set and for Leadership, Passion, & drive to get job done. The Data Architect needs to have experience with a variety of data storage technologies including RDMS but also be familiar with large scale Internet data storage concepts such as Google's Big Table model, and open source implementations like Hbase, Hadoop and Cassandra. The Data Architect must be able to work closely with Product Managers, Marketing experts, Business Analysts, Application Architects and Engineers, ETL Engineers, Systems Engineers, DBA's and other technical and business experts to support business objectives. Reviews business requirements, analyzes data, designs and directs the development and maintenance of large scale data architectures Design and direct the development and maintenance of relational databases and other large scale data stores Designs and directs the development and operation of ETL processes and systems Relies on experience and judgment to create plans and drives projects to accomplish goals Leads and direct the work of others as well as doing hands-on work
