Bachelor's Degree Course of Study/Major: CS, CE, CIS, IS, MIS, or similar, or equivalent experience.

Related Work Experience: 2 - 4 years • Create technology solutions using applicable technology language such as Java and BPI framework • Two years experience in language/technology (e.g., Java/J2EE, VB6, C# and JSP). • Two years experience interfacing with customers for elaborating requirements. • Experience in multiple software development lifecycle phases, including scope and proposal, analysis, design, and software construction. • Work with business customers to define, scope, and extract requirements of business problems and design technology solutions • Experience planning and breaking down a task into sub-tasks and estimating effort to perform the work. • Familiarity with various requirements gathering techniques. • Familiarity with software usability concepts. • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication and presentation skills. • Experience facilitating meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary. • Software prototyping experience. • Demonstrated strong logical and technical problem-solving skills.

PURPOSE of POSITION: This position usually works on a team or occasionally alone to performing Business Process Integration (BPI) and other project activities in multiple phases of the software development lifecycle, from scope and proposal through software construction, testing and implementation. This position will meet with customers to understand their business processes and needs with the objective of determining solutions to support the business. This position will sometimes require filling multiple roles to turn the customers needs into an actual solution. Passion for troubleshooting, fixing and correcting issues on mission critical system. Takes initiative, owns issues from start to finish, proactive communicator. Daily activities include changes to code at the unit level, but also design and architecture changes as needed. MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Responsible for the on-time, on-budget delivery of projects tasks • Responsible for participating in the development of and following the BPI architectural standards and frameworks. • Responsible for the design, construction, testing and implementation of software projects. • Responsible for participating in or completing other software projects as directed. • After hours on-call support as necessary
