 MS in computer science or a related field (MBA preferred)

• 10 years in a product or business development role relating to product innovation in the information technology, computer science; or consulting and/or CEO experience with high growth, venturable start-ups in aforementioned domain areas, technology transfer and commercialization experience a plus.

• Domain expertise through information technology/computer science commercialization and program management experience, C-level sales experience and/or relationship management strongly preferred (please detail sales or business development accomplishments in your resume).

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.

The TechColumbus Director of Information Technology Commercialization is responsible for the business development of TechColumbus client companies, including assessment, evaluation and organized assistance to Information Technology/Computer Science client companies, with emphasis on proactive advising and guidance resulting in company success and wealth creation.

The Director will also be responsible for the assessment, evaluation and recommendation of Information Technology prospects to engage as future clients for the TechColumbus commercialization process, as well as the preparation of required reports, documents and presentations on behalf of TechColumbus for the State of Ohio, stakeholders, and as needed.

Essential activities and tasks include coaching and mentoring incubator and non-incubator clients, recruiting and screening incubator client companies, collaborating on the submission of and providing input to grant proposals and financial reports, community outreach and networking on behalf of TechColumbus.
