HLS MedFreight ® is an information services company focused on healthcare logistics. We take pride in being the first company to manage inbound and outbound freight for providers (hospitals, clinics, etc.) in the healthcare industry. We are privately-held company located in Westerville, Ohio. Information technology has been key to our success and is the platform for our planned future growth. Our team is growing and we are seeking a Director of Quality Assurance who is an experienced leader in continuous improvement, supplier management, or logistics.

The successful candidate will work with suppliers and healthcare providers to introduce and monitor HLS MedFreight’s processes/programs. You will lead a team in benchmarking and other direct contact initiatives to better understand the suppliers’ systems and fee structures. The successful candidate will utilize excellent communication skills to develop and foster collaborative working relationships with suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities Lead strategic continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams. Utilize excellent analytical and problem solving skills to serve as our customer’s freight management advocate with suppliers. Identify process gaps, propose and drive initiatives to strengthen our programs’ quality assurance. Conduct periodic reviews with suppliers to assure freight program compliance. Lead a quality assurance structure.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree required. Masters Degree preferred. Professional with 10-12 years experience. Minimum 5 years of logistics, supplier management, or quality assurance experience. Individual with 3-5 years experience managing direct reports required: hiring, assembling a team, performance evaluations, terminations, etc. Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Access or SQL a plus. Demonstrated experience with continuous process improvement and/or Six Sigma. Excellent communicator (with exceptional telephone skills), self-starter, and team player. Visionary, organized, detailed, accurate and able to manage multiple projects.
