This individual will be responsible for the direction and management of all sales and business development operations, including market competitiveness, marketing to the electric and gas utilities and power generation plants, pricing, distribution and channel strategy. The Director of Sales and Marketing is personally responsible for closing new business while building an organization that includes sales, account management and professional services staff. This person drives the company’s achievement of its customer acquisition, customer retention and revenue goals. This Director is a member of the company’s executive team. New Business Acquisition •Responsible for closing new business, including responding to market demand, developing relationships with prospects, performing product demonstrations, contract negotiations and closing sales. •Oversee marketing initiatives to develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies as well as develop and execute lead programs. •Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base. •Drive the development of national, and, if appropriate, international sales strategies. •Plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels, including establishing budgets, and sales projections. •Spearhead business development initiatives that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy. •Manage overall sales process and set appropriate metrics for sales management. •Develop pricing policies including volume discounts and terms and conditions for high-profile customers and channel partners. •Manage complex contract negotiation and work with legal counsel, as required. •Establish and maintain working C-Level and VP-Level contact and relationships with current clients. •Understand the company’s capabilities and services, as well as the product’s technical features and functions and effectively communicates all offerings to prospects. •Assist in the planning and execution of company’s annual customer conference. Leadership •Oversee the hiring, development and overall performance management of sales and marketing organizations, appropriate for the company’s maturity/size. •Serve as a key member of the executive team that sets the company’s strategic direction and assists the company in focusing on client-centric key result areas. •Be the driving force in the development of the work ethic, culture and values of the Sales and Marketing groups. Through personal example, establishes the style and approach that characterizes the Company’s dealings with the marketplace. Be a role model for the company culture. •Provide regular two-way communication between the customer and team to provide strong team representation and set proper customer expectations. •Report to the CEO and the executive management team providing regular input on all account activity, including status and call reports on a weekly basis. •Establish compensation, training, and sales incentive programs. •Maintain detailed knowledge of each customer’s business, competition, and latest industry news and trends. Convey knowledge to executive management team to assist in the development of new products and services. •A solid understanding of ARCOS Inc.’s market: products, players, technologies, and contacts in related markets. •Demonstrate technical proficiency with the ARCOS product and be a subject matter expert for the product, including the ability to personally conduct webinars and product demonstrations. |
