December 22, 2011

Jim Mazotas, CEO of OnGuard Systems, has announced the launch of his latest creation, Intelligent ID, a user-activity management system. The product monitors user activity on computers to identify potential threats and unproductive user activities, while protecting the reputation of a company or organization and making sure data is kept safe.

OnGuard is currently headquartered in the CareWorks Technologies building in Dublin, and Mazotas, an East Coast-native is very vocal in his endorsement of the city, crediting it with having an environment that supports innovation.

“We have the best collection of seed-money aggregators here,” he said, naming TechColumbus and Dublin’s own incubator, the Dublin Entrepreneurial Center.

In fact, Mazotas’ other IT startup, Safe House, has recently received $500,000 in seed investment from the TechColumbus Pre-Seed Fund to develop a new IT safety innovation to monitor online activity on computers and other electronic devices in the home.

Mazotas says he intends to hire an additional 33 people in 2012.

“We need to hit the market quickly and hard,” he said, adding that one of the main goals for his company is to stay on the cutting edge in efforts to protect people and companies as technology continues to develop.
