This luncheon – a partnership between the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) and the Columbus Council on World Affairs – will feature keynote speaker Amy Camacho, the Secretary of Environmental Sustainability and Land Management of the State of Puebla, Mexico; and the second annual Sustainability Awards recognizing achievements in multiple categories of environmental stewardship.
The program is part of the fifth annual Summit on Sustainability & the Environment, MORPC’s signature environmental conference developed to aid community leaders, businesses and individuals in going green. This event brings hundreds of people together from diverse backgrounds who share a common interest in making the world a better place for existing and future generations. The Summit will be held from 10:30am-4:30pm and, in addition to the keynote luncheon, will include engaging workshops on the topics of clean and efficient vehicles, greenways and trails, green buildings and climate change adaptation; and an Exhibit Hall to showcase environmental products and services to hundreds of attendees. Additionally, a pre-event reception and fundraiser will be held on October 10 from 6-8pm at the Wexner Center for the Arts.
