Westerville’s Emerson Network Power marked the opening of its 70,000-square foot LEED-certified training center this week. Through design innovations the facility, which will support hands-on training for more than 1,000 employees, customers and partners per year, is extremely energy efficient with certain critical sections of the center operating at as much as a 75 percent power reduction.
David Farr, chairman, CEO and president of the company was on hand to celebrate the opening of the center and to reaffirm Emerson Network Power’s commitment to energy-efficiency and eco-philosophies.
Emerson Network Power is a global leader in enabling business continuity from grid to chip for telecommunication networks, data centers, healthcare and industrial facilities. Frank Bibens, president of Liebert Services and Chuck Spears, president of Liebert North American stressed the company’s commitment to helping customers improve the energy efficiency of their data centers. They offered ten steps for reducing energy costs and said that by following these steps energy consumption could be cut by as much as one half.
