Excellence in Leadership I

Employers Resource Association presents Excellence in Leadership I. The purpose of this program is to better prepare managers/supervisors to understand and adopt those behaviors and beliefs that will make them successful leading in today’s workplace. A clear understanding of what a good leader does and is today (versus the leader of yesteryear) provides a good foundation for this learning. Emphasis is on how leaders behave and why people tend to follow, understanding leadership styles, parameters of authority, motivation of employees, and the necessity to behave in accordance with policies and laws to avoid litigation.

Through the six day course we’ll cover:

• Qualities, skills, and attributes of great leaders
• Situational leadership model
• The true nature of motivation
• Motivation theory: how to apply it in the workplace
• Legal compliance issues
• Avoiding liability landmines

The class will begin Sept. 22 at 8:15 am - 12:15 pm and run for 6 consecutive Wednesdays.

Cost: $400.00 for ERA members $560.00 for non-members.
