It's time to rethink your datacenter strategy. Why? Because two opposing forces require a far more efficient, optimized approach to datacenter infrastructure and operations. On one end, your users have changed dramatically. Consumer hardware and software, mobility, and self-provisioning have dramatically changed what services are run out of datacenters. On the other end, virtualization, automation, and cloud technologies have dramatically changed the economics of running datacenter infrastructure. It's time to take a step back and determine if you're running the most efficient datacenter and meeting changing business requirements. To do so, this session will help you:
Learn which technologies and capabilities to embrace so that you can realign your datacenter strategy to meet changing user and business requirements.
Identify the importance of four evolving datacenter trends: 1) Converged infrastructure; 2) Private, public, and hybrid cloud technologies; 3) Power and cooling management; and 4) Advanced virtualization and automation tools.
Determine next steps in optimizing your datacenter based on your particular user, application, and business environments.
