Following Banner Year 3X Expecting to Double Sales in 2010

July 9, 2010

Following a record-breaking 2009 in which sales increased by 74 percent, 3X Systems founder and CEO Alan Arman says 2010 is shaping up to be another banner year for the startup.  Founded in 2006, 3X developed a Remote Backup Appliance (RBA) that allows small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to back up and store their data securely off site.

Advantages of the appliance include elimination of the need for nightly tape backups or for third party online backup services.  With the 3X RBA businesses can program backups to occur regularly for all their devices including mobile phones, laptops and desktops. The RBA is located offsite for security. The business owns the RBA so it isn’t faced with monthly service fees from third party providers plus it can maintain complete control of its data.

Arman says sales of the RBA continue to grow both domestically and overseas.  He says the company anticipates adding three more positions to its current 10-member staff in 2010 and anticipates that sales this year will double.

3X Systems was the first recipient of funding from the TechColumbus Regional Commercialization Fund (now known as the TechColumbus Pre-Seed Fund).
