Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to translate business needs into functional specifications and technical design documents.
- Estimating technology and custom development components of projects
- Develop and manage code-base and development standards to bring projects in on-time
- Implement data-driven web applications, designs, and content into website
- Design and develop web-based, data driven applications in Java, JSP on Linux MySQL.
- Spring Framework and Spring Roo
- Spring MVC Web Templates
- JPA 2 Java Programmer will be responsible for application systems/project planning, estimating, tracking and management. This includes working closely with the business functional areas, and external customers and vendors in defining systems/project priorities, scope, approach, resource requirements, timing and deliverables.
Competency:
- Proficient in data modeling
- Experience working with relational databases (SQL)
- Experience with MySQL Server database design
- Proficient in object oriented programming languages (Java)
- Essential development skills: Java, OOP, JSP, MySQL version of SQL, HTML
- Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Roo, JPA 2, Tiles 2 a plus
- Experience building web applications and web services.
- Experience with command line development (vi, UNIX-like shell commands, CSV) a plus
- Must be able to work collaboratively with other developers
- Ability to produce effective ideas under tight timelines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to interface with senior leadership and other departments.

Education and/or Experience
