Game Theory Specialists Snag Local Executive

COLUMBUS, Ohio, January 25, 2010 - Priiva Consulting Corporation, a strategy consulting firm specializing in the application of game theory for strategic decision making, today announced that Bill Forquer will be representing Priiva in the United States Midwest market.  Forquer, based in Columbus, most recently was a marketing and strategy executive for Open Text Corporation.

Priiva specializes in the application of game theory for strategic decision making.  This emerging discipline is most frequently used to analyze business issues such as mergers and acquisitions, competitive positioning, stakeholder and partner management, government and regulatory affairs, and large-scale litigation. One such business case on the economic and environmental sustainability of the Alberta oil sands industry is described in detail on the Priiva website.

Gerry Sullivan, Partner and Co-Founder of Priiva Consulting, said “We’re thrilled to have Bill’s experience on our team.  He is well versed in applying game theory to M&A and competitive strategy, and has that unique combination of technology, marketing, and business savvy that will serve our clients well."

Forquer began his career at Battelle developing library and litigation software that eventually was spun-off as Information Dimensions (IDI).  He was ultimately named CEO of IDI and guided the company through several business transformations.  Open Text acquired IDI in 1998 where Forquer continued in various executive roles helping Open Text grow from $60M to nearly $1B during his eleven-year tenure.
