GCIC Offers Path to Commercialization Seminar Series for Biomedical Startups

The Global Cardiovascular Innovation Center (GCIC) has announced a new seminar series for those inventors and entrepreneurs launching a startup in the field of cardiovascular product development.  The Path to Commercialization Seminar Series is offered to present practical topics of specific interest to companies and inventors developing and commercializing medical device, pharmaceutical and biotech products or services. The series provides insights and guidance relating to financing, market opportunity analysis, design, intellectual property, regulatory planning, reimbursement strategy, clinical trial strategy and other important factors for success.

The next of these seminars is scheduled for April 15, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. to Noon in Cincinnati.  The seminar is titled “Getting to a First in Man Clinical Trial:  Where, Why and How?”  Vicky Tifft, CEO of Clinical Research Management, will lead a panel discussion on how to accurately plan and execute a first in human clinical study for a medical device.
