Description

At least 2-3 years administration and development of HP Service Manager v7.10 and v7.11 or higher in large scale environment. 

Expertise with the following basic utilities and tools: All Database Manager functions Load and Unload utilities as well as promoting data between environments All functions of the Database Dictionary Data Policy and Format Control Use of Forms Designer and Dynamic View Dependencies and forms wizard to create, modify and update forms. Simple and complex links and virtual joins as used with fill, find and sub-form records management. Ability to modify System Navigator and Menu Manager at a unique user or group level.

Hands on experience with the following:

  • Understanding of the Global Lists Utility and ability to create/modify.

  • View and queue management to include defining, creating and profile assignment of system and personal views; as well as query group administration.

  • Ongoing views administration to analyze and remove unnecessary views.

  • Document Engine and the 3 key records: Objects, States and Processes.

  • Familiarity with adding and modifying Display Options and how it relates to the Document Engine.

  • Able to describe the features and functions of a Wizard and how to modify or call a Wizard from a Format Control record.

  • Notification and alerts engines.

  • Is able to define how these are invoked, how to setup and modify them, as well as listing the variables and how they are defined.

  • Service Manager System Language, RAD Debugger, and JavaScript

  • Deep knowledge/customizations experience of Service Manger integration with HP uCMDB, Connect * IT, SCAuto, SSL, HP Release Control, Web Services, HP KM, email platforms (notifications and auto ticket updates/generation).

  • HP ITSM Certified Administrator for all modules. Solid knowledge of test scenario coverage based on already existing and future HP Service Manager Customizations.

  • Familiarity with HP SaaS model and in working with HP to troubleshoot/fix issues SDLC experience and its application to the HP's SaaS model ensuring successful release roll-outs with minimal defects.

  • Experience with and willingness to assist leading QA efforts to certify HPSM customizations before being released to production.

  • Strong documentation, knowledge transfer, and training skills.

  • Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts virtually/via conference calls.

  • Ability to identify failure points and develop quick workarounds Work well under pressure, time constraints and at times with loosely defined structure.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Knowledge and understanding of ITIL processes, specifically Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Service Level Management.

  • Clocks as used with SLM build out Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required Adept in documenting all changes made in design docs and load/unload files for HP

  • 3+ years experience with Windows applications including MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SQL

  • 5+ years prior industry experience including service management, change management, request management, problem management, and service level adherence.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, good time management and organizational skills.

  • Very strong attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment
