For years, the Human Resource profession has struggled with being viewed as “the enforcer” of the complex employment-related laws and a “cost center” that needs to be controlled. Through interactive discussions and case studies, this program will provide participants with the knowledge and tools needed to change these negative perceptions, and move the Human Resource function to a profit center.

Lori Hall, SPHR, HR Consultant, is a versatile human resource pro-fessional with more than 15 years of combined experience in the manufacturing, service and healthcare industries. Lori is well-versed in training and develop-ment, employee relations, benefits administration and policy develop-ment, with an understanding of both the employer and employee perspectives. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wright State University and certification in Hu-man Resources from the Society for Human Resources Manage-ment's HR Certification Institute. Lori is responsible for providing excellent customer service to over 300 member companies in the Central Ohio area. In addition to answering “hotline” inquiries and performing a myriad of human resource specialty services, in-cluding Affirmative Action Plans and Employee Engagement Sur-veys, she is responsible for devel-oping and facilitating human re-source, leadership and customer service related training programs.
