| Description | Responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to support the information and data security needs of the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) Internet presence and internal computer systems. Researches and evaluates new or improved security measures to implement, and works with management to determine acceptable level of risk for all OPERS networks and computing platforms. 1.Implements, and maintains hardware, software, and the configuration of: a.firewall systems and DMZ networks. b.Web, E-mail, and anti-virus filtering systems. c.intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS). d.network and application vulnerability assessment tools. e.Security Incident and Event Monitoring (SIEM) systems. f.Secure Internet e-mail (SMTP/TLS) gateway systems. 2.Implements and maintains Windows Active Directory domain security policies. 3.Implements and maintains scripts and tools used in security auditing, forensics, host and network assessments, and various system maintenance operations. 4.Audits network and Windows domain security controls, identifies security issues, and develops plans and procedures to mitigate risks. 5.Creates, modifies and deletes off-site user profiles and manages access control for remote users. 6.Maintains and is a significant member of a multi-disciplinary CIRT (Computer Incident Response Team) team. Maintains CIRT standards, and procedures, responsible for the investigation of IT security incidents and coordination of CIRT activities among multiple diverse functional areas including OPERS management and internal departments. 7.Works closely with IT staff, internal audit, external audit, Legal, and Management to ensure the safety and privacy of OPERS’ IT assets. 8.Responsible for the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans and procedures for IT security systems, and assists with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity processes.
