Custom Web Development with Force.com—Jerry Jones, Compuware Corporation
Force.com is cloud computing for the enterprise. Using the Force.com platform, private enterprises and commercial software providers alike can quickly create and run custom business applications over the Internet, without the need for up-front software and hardware expenditures, confi guration and maintenance. During this session, we will use the Free Developer account to create a custom web application and then deploy it to the Force.com Free Edition account with Salesforce.com’s AppExchange.
Jerry Jones, the Practice Director of Architecture and Development for Compuware, provides standard processes to guide the development, maintenance and communication of delivery IP and establish consultant skill development strategies for the Architecture and Development technical discipline. Jerry has spent the last 15 years developing and architecting large-scale systems utilizing a variety of technologies.
Introduction to building and deploying iPhone applications—Christopher Judd, Judd Solutions
The iPhone and iPod Touch mobile platforms have inspired a new cottage industry of mobile developers. If you want to fi nd your application in Apple’s “There’s an App for That” commercials, this session offers the tools and skills you need to build an application with XCode. During this session, you see a practical example as we build a simple map-enabled application and demonstrate how to deploy it to your iPhone or iPod Touch and the iTunes App Store.
Christopher Judd is president and primary consultant for Judd Solutions, an international speaker, an open source evangelist, leader of both the Central Ohio Java Users Group and the Columbus iPhone Developer User Group, as well as a prolific author. He has spent 13 years architecting and developing software for Fortune 500 companies in various industries, including insurance, retail, government, manufacturing, service and transportation. His current focus is on consulting, mentoring and training with Java, Java EE, Groovy, Grails, cloud computing and mobile platforms like iPhone, Android and Java ME
