Iteration Manager for Application Development using Agile Framework

DESCRIPTION:  The individual selected for this position will work as Iteration Manager on a development team using two week sprints.  They will fill the typical responsibilities for such a role:

• Track iteration progress (day-to-day work), report obstacles, make sure iterations commitment will be fulfilled, point out bottlenecks in the delivery process.
• For the customer, act as a gatekeeper and protect team from distractions. Manage and guide requirements in order to prevent continually changing requirements.
• Within each sprint, plan and manage to budgeted hours and schedule. and help customer with prioritization.  
• For the overal project, build a team environment with people working together towards common goal (they success or fail together)

The primary responsibility for this position is to help build and maintain a smooth running software development and delivery team by continually providing it story cards, and improving the operation of the team.

KNOWLDEGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

• Successful experience on at least two projects using the Agile framework in the role of Iteration Manager.  Additional experience in other roles is a plus. 
• At least 10 years of practical experience in software development 
• Certification as a Scrum Master is a plus. 
• High level technical familiarity with distributed systems and mainframe system technologies. 
• Subject matter expertise in banking, life insurance, investment accounting, and / or property and casualty insurance is a plus.
