College degree or equivalent experience.

3+ years Application Development environment.

Develop, maintain and upgrade business applications applicable to the flood determination reporting industry using a range of technologies including Java, J2EE, mobile applications, and Oracle database. Develop detailed flowcharts, technical design documents and testing documentation according to business requirements and design specifications. Code and implement the application according to the design. Develop and integrate modules for J2EE platform. Develop test cases for individual modules and integrated application. Perform builds and software releases following required procedures. Perform technical support for applications in production environment. Ensure development best practices such as security of personal information, coding standards, application architecture, development strategy, reporting and standard operating procedures throughout the project life cycle. Provide inputs for continuous improvements of common development work processes, standards and tools. Provide domain expertise and recommendations for best practices.

•     Java, servlet/JSP, J2EE, EJB, JMS, JBoss
•     MSSQL, JDBC, Oracle
•     Web development, Spring, XML
•     Unix, Windows
•     Software development experience in support of production web applications and applications with complex, distributed infrastructure.
•     Proven knowledge and domain expertise in J2EE application development concepts.Extensive knowledge of object oriented programming.
•     Experience developing mobile applications for iOS and Android.
•     Knowledge in the full life cycle of the development, including design, coding and testing of the software.
•     Knowledge of design patterns, exception handling
•     Knowledge of security of personal information.
•     Experience in coding from high-level design documents.
•     Experience in automatic build and deploy methods.
•     Strong analytical and problem solving skills
