The Kawasaki Disease Fund Announces the Launch of New and Improved Website

A group of dedicated parents and researchers are seeking to raise awareness of a mysterious illness that comes on suddenly, usually strikes the very young and causes a host of unusual symptoms that can make a child miserable. Kawasaki Disease (KD) is a little-known illness that can lead to permanent heart damage or even take a young life if not diagnosed and treated in a timely manner.

VBConfidential, LLC of Columbus, Ohio donated all their resources to the creation of the KD Fund’s new website.  “It is a cause near and dear to me and my wife’s heart” said Shakeri, President and Founder of VBConfidential, LLC whose son was afflicted with Kawasaki Disease.  “My wife and I searched for answers when Ethan was so sick and it took nine long days before we got a definite answer which, in turn led to even more questions” said Shakeri.  “Once Ethan was diagnosed, we received the necessary resources and today he is a healthy and happy 6 year old thanks to the doctors at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and his pediatrician Dr. Forsythe” Shakeri added.

“In creating this New and Improved Website for the KD Fund, I hope it is a valuable resource for families seeking information, answers and support,” said Shakeri.
