The LAN Administrator is responsible for the continued support, administration and maintenance of the NetJets global Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 2003/2008 Server environments. As a LAN Administrator, he or she will work with the team and manager to make decisions and take action to help ensure the stability of NetJets' server infrastructure. This position will be located in Columbus, OH. ***The position you have applied for is 2nd Shift (4 p.m. to 1 a.m. - Monday through Friday). What do you need to join our team? •Minimum 3 Years Experience in LAN Administration. •Proficiency with Microsoft 2003/2008 Server or Higher. •Microsoft Certification a Plus, but not required. •Experience with Any of the Following is Highly Desirable: SMS, MS Exchange, Terminal Services, GPO Creation and Management, Windows XP, MS Office, MS Project, Visio, Symantec Endpoint. •Should have the Ability to Work Independently and be Able to Establish Priorities. •Must have Excellent Troubleshooting and Communication Skills. •Good Organizational Skills. •File Server Hardware and Operating System Software Maintenance and Third Level ticket resolution What does a LAN (Local Area Network) Administrator do? •Ongoing file server hardware and operating system software maintenance, including patch management, hardware migrations and system upgrades in a 7x24x365 high availability global environment. •Administration of existing server-based Production systems, including (but not limited to): Active Directory, Exchange, WebLogic, Websphere, IntelliJet 2, RightFax, Trend Micro, TSM and Shavlik to ensure we adhere to SOX compliancy. •Ongoing review of NetJets' server infrastructure, including the taking of proactive measures to ensure continued stability. •Participation in an on-call after-hours support rotation. •Second/Third-level Help Desk ticket resolution. •Assistance in the development and/or revision of server-based standards, guidelines and policies as directed. •Documentation as Required. •Adherence to time and metric's tracking.
