SoftSyl Technologies is a leading software technology firm that offers development, design, and implementation of automated voice solutions to call centers. We are currently looking for a strong and seasoned full-time lead software engineer to join our team in the Columbus, Ohio metro area to engage in developing advanced, innovative web and telephony software products/services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software applications.
- Develop telephony and web applications.
- Brainstorm with other engineers on product design and development.
- Work with decision makers to demonstrate mockups/prototypes.
- Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced developers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: BS or MS degree in computer science/software engineering and 4+ years of work experience.
- Hands-on experience (Non-Managerial) with Java, Servlet, JSP and JSF programming languages and web technologies is a must.
- Direct experience with Spring Framework, Spring MVC, and Hibernate is a must.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing Web Services using Java technologies is a must.
- Experience with building and maintain web applications using AJAX and other Web 2.0 related technologies.
- Innovative, creative, flexible, self-directed, and keenly understanding of how to design and write elegant, high-performance, reliable and maintainable J2EE/JEE and server side applications code.
- Strong object-oriented design and development skills.
- Experience working with MySQL and SQL languages.
Other Qualifications:
- Experience with VoiceXML/VXML, ASR, TTS and other related technologies highly desirable.
- Experience creating web applications using PHP, REST and AJAX.
- Experience with VOIP, SIP, Asterisk and other telephony related technologies highly desirable.
- Experience with Java XML Parsing and XML-based messaging (DOM, SAX, SOAP).
- Experience managing, debugging, fixing and maintaining existing applications.
- Experience with business intelligence suites, such as Crystal Reports and JasperReports, highly desirable.
- Experience with software management tools, such as Maven, Ant, and Subversion, is a plus.
- Experience with Web Application Containers such as Apache Tomcat.
- Must have solid interpersonal skills to interact with customers, management, and team members.
- Experience with C/C++ programming in Microsoft Visual C++ and/or Unix environments.
