Making the Transition to Supervisor

Join ERA every Thursday for a 4-week Transition to Supervisor. This program is designed specifically for the newly promoted supervisor or someone who will soon make the transition. It is designed to introduce supervisors to the dynamic nature of their new role and the fundamental skills necessary to set them up for success, and immediately be more effective in their new role.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify skills for managing new responsibilities and relationships
  • Master key functions and duties of supervisors
  • Identify the difference between aggressive and assertive behavior
  • Develop communication skills to effectively influence others
  • Give ongoing feedback and recognition
  • Provide coaching and conflict management
  • Manage time and identify priorities by setting SMART goals
  • Develop and implement an action plan for future success. CEUs: 1.6; CPEs: 16 mgmt
