The Manager, Infrastructure Application is responsible for the management of the Microsoft Email, BlackBerry, WebSphere (WAS) and WebSphere Process Server (WPS) environments across the NetJets business units. The Manager of Messaging and Mid-Tier Systems is responsible for overseeing all Messaging and Mid-Tier Infrastructure activities related to the implementation of new systems into a global, high-availability environment; publishing project plan updates and technical design reviews; providing 7x24x365 third-level technical support, including on-call support; and performing new technology research. This position manages a team of Infrastructure LAN Administrators and is instrumental in all technical activities in a cross-team/highly matrix environment. As the manager of this function, he or she is expected to make decisions and take action in order to ensure all systems are available, projects are implemented on-time, and all documentation is kept current. This position will be located in Columbus, OH. What do you need to join our team? •3+ years managing a large scale Microsoft Exchange Email, Blackberry, WAS and WPS Mid-Tier environment. •8+ years of hands on experience focusing on application administration, logical and physical messaging and WAS/WPS Mid-Tier design or services for a large enterprise with international presence. •5+ years of managing multiple projects, establishing priorities, managing team resource time, effectively balancing multiple priorities, and demonstrating sound decision-making and team leadership skills. •5+ years managing a Team of LAN Administrators. •Experience using MS Office, MS Project, and Visio is required. •Ability to manage an on-call support team (7x24x365). •Must demonstrate high technical aptitude and excellent analytical/problem-solving skills. •Must be able to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences, both technical and non-technical. •Must demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. •Assistance in the development of Standards, Guidelines and Policies. •Ability to research new emerging technologies, evaluate, present benefits, quickly learn with minimal training, and implement to production. •Ability to lead on-going technical reviews of existing Infrastructure & Application projects. What does a Manager, Infrastructure Application do? •Collaborates in Project Design Reviews, Project Management, and provides updates on Issue Resolution. •Responsible for a budget of over $2 million and for continuous 10 year planning. •Manages & Measures Team Compliance to existing processes. •Creates Technical Design Standards & Measurement of Team Compliance which include; SOX, Audit, and 7x24x365 support. •Forecasts resource requirements for all business and internal projects. •Reviews Project Closing Documentation, Ensuring that Every Project has a backup trained & Transition On-going Support/Troubleshooting to Operational/Support Teams. •Ensures all Service Center Incidents are assigned & resolved, participates in Change Control, and Root Cause Analysis initiatives. •Sets Team Goals aligned with Departmental Objectives which motivate resources & provide technical skills development needed for current project needs. •Conducts Performance Reviews of all team members. •Provides accurate time tracking details and appropriate metrics for work performed.
