| Description | NexTech is seeking an experienced materials research engineer to lead R&D projects with a strong materials science focus. This position will involve managing and executing projects aimed at developing new catalyst materials and components, new ceramic gas sensor technology, and material sets for solid oxide fuel cell components. The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills and a strong knowledge of electrochemical ceramics, metal oxide semiconductors, and advanced ceramic materials. Candidates with specific knowledge in electrochemical or semiconductive ceramic gas sensors will be favorably considered. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -Provide technical oversight and leadership to materials R&D projects at all stages. -Select and win R&D opportunities with high likelihood of commercialization -Execute projects and demonstrate proof-of-concept products. -Manage projects to achieve on-time completion of project milestones and deliverables. -Handoff technology to product development teams, providing technical oversight. -Conduct literature and patent searches to investigate relevant materials technology and to build understanding of state-of-the-art. -Contribute to NexTech’s intellectual property portfolio through preparation of invention disclosures and patent applications. |
