Mobius Technology Platform Helps Consumers Virtually “Try On” Sunglasses Via New Mobile App

Colorado-based HaberVision, makers of polarized sunglasses and goggles, only sells its high performance eyewear online.  Therefore, some consumers shy away from ordering, not knowing how they will look wearing the glasses.  Enter Central Ohio’s Mobius International, which has developed a mobile app to allow buyers to virtually “try on” sunglasses and decide which pairs are best suited to their faces.
   
mobiSHADES is based on Mobius’ sophisticated self-learning object image recognition platform.  mobiSHADES allows buyers to take a self-portrait with a camera-enabled mobile phone and send it in to Mobius.  mobiSHADES immediately analyzes the user’s facial structure returns an image displaying the eyewear selection superimposed on the user’s face, then provides a link to a mobile site where additional styles can be tried. mobiSHADES also allows customers to post their images on social media platforms where they can ask friends to vote for the best-looking style.
 
HaberVision eyewear is sold exclusively online, therefore mobiSHADES     offers a new dimension in helping consumers shop for Habervision glasses.  Additionally, mobiSHADES provides a quick-purchase m-commerce platform and can deliver future coupons and discounts to users once they have registered with the site.
 
This is just the latest application for Mobius technology which has been used for everything from marketing wine to reuniting owners with lost pets.  Mobius is a powerful, self learning recognition software that has been modified for use with camera cell phones. A user need only to take a cell phone picture, send the image to Mobius and a specified action occurs.   This can be a query for information from an advertisement, recognizing a face, entering a contest, requesting a movie trailer, receiving a coupon or donating to charity. The Mobius process works across all carriers and all camera cell phones in the US and globally.
